Nine Inch Nails & Soundgarden at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater

Nine Inch Nails & Soundgarden are teaming up for a night of unhinged alternate rock. Their grueling summer tour is hitting 23 venues across the US. It’s all pretty much what you’d expect from a summer tour built around a pair of veteran acts touring as much behind the respective 20th anniversaries of their best-loved (and best) albums as their new records. NIN will be touring in support of their 2013 album ‘Hesitation Marks,’ which features the singles ‘Came Back Haunted’ and ‘Copy of A.’ Trent Reznor and company previously toured North America in support of the disc this past fall.

It's been 20 years since the two bands shared a gig; the last time they performed together was at Ontario's Molson Park in 1994 in a gig Trent Reznor later described as "a kind of professional showdown." The bands had each released an album on the same day that year (NIN's Downward Spiral and Soundgarden's Superunknown) and Reznor said his band had a chip on their shoulder regarding Soundgarden. Fitting that the bands are coming together on the anniversary of those incredible albums.
