The “King of R&B,” Chris Brown, is one of the most commercially successful artists in urban music. Brown has sold more than 193 million records worldwide and earned multiple platinum certifications in the U.S. and several other countries throughout his twenty-year career. He has also received numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, four Billboard Music Awards, and 18 BET Awards.
Brown has released several massive hits, including his debut song “Run It,” featuring Juelz Santana, topped the Hot 100 charts in 2005. Some of his other hit singles during his earlier career are “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” and “Say Goodbye.” In 2007, Brown achieved his second Billboard Hot 100 number 1 single, “Kiss Kiss,” featuring T-pain. The debut track was followed by back-to-back colossal hits, such as “With You,” “Forever,” and “No Air." During the height of the EDM trend, Brown released numerous party anthems, such as “Yeah 3x,” “Turn Up the Music,” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.” In 2013, Brown returned to his R&B and hip-hop roots with “Loyal” and “Ayo.” Brown’s more recent hits include “No Guidance" and “Go Crazy.”
Lil Baby emerged in the mainstream scene in 2017 with his mixtape, Perfect Timing. He dropped his debut album, Harder Than Ever, which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured the singles “Southside” and “Yes Indeed.” In the same year, Lil Baby released his critically-acclaimed mixtapes, Drip Harder and Street Gossip, which charted at numbers 4 and 2. In 2020, Lil Baby released his first number 1 record, My Turn, which featured the Grammy-nominated song, “The Bigger Picture.”
