The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater is at 3550 Cellar Door Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. It’s set just 11 miles from downtown Virginia Beach and its golden sands, legendary boardwalk, and range of clubs, bars, and restaurants.

The venue hosts up to 40 events every year. A typical show can accommodate 20,000 guests, split between its covered reserved seating area and the general admission lawn.
Shows at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater feature genres like pop, rock, R&B, country, jazz — and everything in between. With its top-class acts and fantastic setting, tickets for the venue are always in high demand. There is no better place to see live outdoor music when the sun shines.

The amphitheater has five parking lots dedicated to the theatre, tickets purchased for the shows include the parking fees. The facility has two main seating areas; the main fixed seating area beneath a canopy and secondly a lawn area behind the fixed seating and partially covered by the canopy. The facility rents small lawn chairs for patrons who have purchased lawn seats and allows concert-goers to bring blankets.

Amphitheater history

The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater opened in 1996. It was built with 7,500 reserved seats and a large general admission lawn area for an extra 12,500 guests.

Over the years, its reputation has grown to become one of the most popular outdoor concert venues in the region. From Dave Matthews Band to Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen to Spice Girls, its wide range of music attracts fans from all over the East Coast.
