This Slightly Stoopid and Sublime with Rome embarks on a tour together for the first time. This partnership actually has an excellent backstory – 25 years' worth of history, to be exact. Slightly Stoopid was discovered during the ‘90s when Sublime frontman, Bradley Nowell, heard Slightly Stoopid's band members during a practice session. Nowell signed the band to his independent label and later released their self-titled debut album in 1996. Slightly Stoopid moved on to become one of America’s most prolific jam bands. They have toured with Dave Matthews Band, Sublime, the Roots, and several other renowned artists. In 2009, they teamed up with Snoop Dogg to co-headline a tour titled Blazed & Confused Tour.

Meanwhile, Sublime with Rome is a spin-off of the original ska-punk band, Sublime. Band member Eric Wilson collaborated with Rome Ramirez to form a semi-new act, performing Sublime’s original songs and more. Sublime’s activities went to a halt after Nowell passed away in 1996. Wilson decided to carry on the band’s legacy by moving forward with Sublime with Rome, also a ska-punk band comprising Ramirez, Wilson, and Carlos Verdugo. The band dropped three chart-performing albums, including their latest effort, Blessings, in 2019.

In a statement, Slightly Stoopid’s Miles Doughty expressed his excitement about this upcoming summer tour. “We haven’t toured with Sublime since the early years of Stoopid, and we are really excited to be back with our brothers on what we like to call the ultimate summer band camp.”
