2025 Year in review! Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater 2025 highlights!

What an amazing year 2025 has been for the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater! The iconic venue became home to the biggest, most exciting showcases to ever hit Virginia Beach and fans were totally ecstatic seeing their favorite bands and artists! A total of 27 shows lit up this venue and the place was visited by over 300,000 fans! The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater became a melting pot for world class performers, up and coming artists, and music legends – all with one goal in mind, to deliver the most outstanding performance ever! The venue, equipped with top tier sound and lights equipment and staffed by the best and extensively trained events team, became a hub for incredible music, as well as fantastic memories! MAY

You could say that summer came a bit early because things were already heating up in May! The  Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater welcomed the concert season with a mighty awesome rave, featuring the Grammy winning EDM icon,  RUFUS DU SOL. Making their way to North America all the way from Australia, the trio definitely delivered the most incredible party with smashing hits like “Inner Bloom,” “On My Knees,” “Inhale,” “Exhale,” so much more! It was a totally intensified setlist with fans going into a mega trance. It was the perfect opener to what would be the most amazing concert season. 

One day after RUFUS DU SOL’s showdown, the highly coveted rock powerhouses PRIMUS, PUSCIFER, and A PERFECT CIRCLE, all fronted by legendary rock heavyweight Mayard James Keenan moved in to deliver the epic Sessanta V2.0. Fans definitely witnessed various dimensions of Keenan’s creative genius and it was the most exhilarating night for rock fans. Speaking of rock music, blues rock came to town a few days later because the gigantic rock ensemble, TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND, served the most outstanding display of jams, covers, and originals. 

JULY

July was pretty awesome considering the showcases were a pretty mixed variety of genres that catered to every music taste. Country music came to conquer the amphihteater with the arrival of country star DIERKS BENTLEY. The Broken Branches Tour promoted the CMA award winning singer’s latest album and it also featured performances from special guests like fast rising star ZACH TOP and THE BAND LOULA.

On July 11th, the monumental classic rock bonanza titled Brotherhood of Rock came to serve a brilliant nostalgic trip. The show was a triple headlining extravaganza featuring legendary band STYX, KEVIN CRONIN formerly from Reo Speedwagon and DON FELDER, formerly from The Eagles. The night delivered timeless classic rock music that definitely had fans rocking out like it was 1975. The show was a tumultuous display of a golden era where titles like “Renegade,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” and “Hotel California” conquered the airwaves. Metal Planet Music called this tour a “convergence of rock royalty.” With each act bringing their own style, fans’ souls were definitely filled to the brim.

Pop music also packed the venue in July. KIDZ BOP LIVE arrived to give fans the most outstanding kids themed concert. The show delivered covers of Billboard Hot 100 charting smashing hits with lyrics rewritten to make it appropriate for children. It was a fun family oriented pop showcase and the Kidz Bop Kids serve a terrific concert, that’s up to par with the biggest productions from world class stars. BIG TIME RUSH came to serve another nostalgic showdown. The pop band was in town for the In Real Life World Tour. Their fans are now all grown up but there are still some younger kids who are getting into the Big Time Rush craze. So definitely the audience was packed with fans of all ages and Big Time Rush delivered their most amazing hits like “Boyfriend,” “Worldwide,” “Paralyzed,” “Nothing Even Matters,” and tons more.

Rap came to conquer on July 25 because Grammy winning hip-hop icon NELLY arrived to deliver the Where the Party At Tour! The show also featured 2000s hip-hop stars like Ja Rule, EVE, FABULOUS, and JERMAINE DUPRI. Before the month of July ended, the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater opened its gates to touring giant, the Outlaw Music Festival. Headlined by legendary outlaw, WILLIE NELSON, the festival also featured performances from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer BOB DYLAN, TURNPIKE TROUBADOURS, WILLO AVALON. It was an amazing night of music with various genres and music personalities.

AUGUST 

This month was definitely power packed. August saw the arrival of hip-hop, metal, pop, classic rock and more. On August 1, LIL WAYNE came to play with his highly coveted run Introducing the Carter VI North American Tour. The showcase featured his mega hits “Love Me,” “She Will,” and “Sucker for Pain.” Lil Wayne didn’t come alone that evening. He brought along a slew of special guests including TYGA, NOCAP, BELLY GANG and KUSHINGTON.

The following day, notorious party starter KESHA arrived with the SCISSOR SISTERS, SLAYYYTER, and ROSE GRAY for The Tits Out Tour. The outing was taglined with “Get Ready for the Ride of Your Life,” and indeed it was an exhilarating pop music trip with gargantuan nostalgic titles like “Tik Tok,” “Timber,” “Die Young,” and “Your Love Is My Drug.” Speaking of pop nostalgia, THE JONAS BROTHERS also came to deliver massive smashers from yesteryears with the Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. the night delivered quintessential pop rock hits like “Look Me In the Eyes,” “Burnin Up,” and “Sucker,” among others.

A month at a major venue would not be complete without country bonanzas Veteran United Home Loans Amphitheater absolutley delivered with headlining performances from THOMAS RHETT, LUKE BRYAN, GEORGE BIRGE, THE CASTELLOWS and MAE ESTES. Meanwhile, rock and metal also made this venue their home. The metal icons FALLIN IN REVERSE was in town to deliver God is A Weapon Tour which featured brand new hits like “God Is A Weapon,” “Popular Monster,” “Watch the World Burn,” and tons more. Lastly, the legendary DEF LEPPARD closed the month with their arena rock with special guests BRET MICHAELS, THE STRUTS, and EXTREME.

SEPTEMBER

September came, saw, and conquered with brilliant performances from the most sought after touring artists in the game. The month opened with a showcase by one of America’s greatest songwriters, JAMES TAYLOR. The multi award winning singer songwriter came to town with HIS ALL STAR BAND and delivered timeless titles like “Fire and Rain,” “Carolina In My Mind,” “You’ve Gort a Friend,” and tons more. The music icon delivered a total of 19 songs that evening and fans were beyond satisfied with the lengthy set and top caliber artistry. 

The following day, the venue went into the spectacular frenzy with the arrival of BLINK 182 and ALKALINE TRIO. The Missionary Impossible Tour was a terrific night of punk rock music from two eras. Fans geared up for the most adrenaline rushing, earth shaking punk bonanza and it was safe to say that nobody went home unscathe. Loud music was the major event at the amphitheater this month because September also brought in THREE DAYS GRACE, BREAKING BENJAMIN, YELLOWCARD, and A DAY TO REMEMBER. And the venue went louder than ever with the co-headlining showcase featuring ALICE COOPER, JUDAS PRIEST, and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY.  

OCTOBER

Fall was nearing and the summer concert was about to come to an end but the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater went out with a bang with some even more loud music. The month opened with a staggering showdown calle the GREY DAY TOUR featuring shock rap icons SUICIDEBOYS. The duo from New Orleans also brought in artists under their imprint, including BONES, NIGHT LOVELL, and CHETTA. A few days later, the venue welcomed TWENTY ONE PILOTS who were in town to promote their new album Breach. Meanwhile, rock band PIERCE THE VEIL also brought down the house with their I Can’t Hear You World Tour, promoting their career spanning hits, and staples from their latest album, The Jaws of LIfe.

REVIEWS

The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater is downright fun. It’s famous for delivering the most incredible time. Dennis Riordan is able to attest, “There’s not a bad seat in the house. The sound and atmosphere is incredible. I’ve been going to shows there for twenty plus years. The close parking is worth it.”

Even when the venue is packed, fans are sure to have a pleasant experience, “ I’ve lived in Virginia Beach for 13 years but this was the first time I’ve been to Veterans United Home Loan Ampitheater and this concert was at almost 20,000 people,” said Dan. “but the Ampitheater definitely had their act together and made it all (from traffic to parking to drinks/food, to concert) super easy.”

Ms. Carter came to the venue to celebrate Mother’s Day, “Went for mother’s day with my sister and my niece we got there quite early which I do recommend. We had lawn seats and had a wonderful time. I would go to another concert out there.” Lastly, a concert attendee from Colorado shared, “Such a fantastic place to see a concert! I love how open it is, parking is fairly convenient.”
